I began drawing again; this time from a sculpture that caught my eye. Then I started thinking about Eliot's EAST COKER and found this passage:

Home is where one starts from.

As we grow older

The world becomes stranger, the pattern more complicated

Of dead and living.

Not the intense moment

Isolated with no before and after,

But a lifetime burning in every moment

And not the lifetime of one man only

But of old stones that cannot be deciphered.

There is a time for the evening under starlight,

A time for the evening under lamplight

Love is most nearly itself

When here and now cease to matter.

Old men ought to be explores

Here or there does not matter

CONNECTING

Connecting with each other and with ourselves through art. Beautiful! The courage to create, to branch out, to take a leap, to become fearless--if only for a second or two, to dare to jump in from a great height, to learn. And...we do learn.

OK! So after all these years I've finally decided to actually show my work. Friends and family have always been encouraging me to do this and now I am!  I have 14 portraits and

I am enlarging these fairly small, sensitive drawings to a common/consistent height of 2 feet. They should really look great hanging on the walls of Pierre's Restaurant in Bridgehampton, NY. The showing will run from December 17th to February 4th. Another way to connect. This time with my art.
